I've been working on Solo de concours by Messager lately,
any good recordings of this piece that really stand out to any of you?
I already have Anthony Mcgill's, but I would like another recording or two to compare to it.
And while we are on the topic of recordings, does anyone have a recording that they cannot live with out? What's your favorite?

... Ricardo who?
Please don't assume everyone knows who you are talking about on just a first name.
(Intended to be a polite request, not a bitchy comment)
Thanks.

Don't forget the YOUTUBE video of the Queen's Golden Jubilee concert featuring 'Julian.'

Julian Bliss also has this piece on the first CD he ever recorded (EMI label if I recall) - it's pretty impressive.

thanks! I love the Jose Ballester one. I heard it once before and can't believe I forgot about it! [I wish I could use circular breathing on this piece like he does...]
I would buy "Ricardo's" song except I'd have to buy the whole album.. and it's not cheap.
I'm not crazy about Julian Bliss. He's too speedy..
