 anyone played his honor?

hi,
Just wondering if anyone has ever played 1st part for His Honor. We are playing it in band. I got first part and I freaked. Last year in county band I got 2nd and could play it good, but now first... no way.. I can't play E, F, and Gs above the staff.. I got third part last year in band and moved up to 1st part this year. I have a good tone color and can play louder without over blowing when I play.
I also found out something else today. When i tried out for county band last year right after I was done and my best friend went, the judge told her that she didn't like me! I don't know, but if she I plan to give her a piece of my mind. I always look forward for county band, but I don't know about this year. This upsets me alot. Also while I was playing a lady walked in and started talking to the judge and they carried on their own conversation the WHOLE time I played. That was not right and I was so mad I could of threw my clarinet at her. I know I could of got better chair. My gosh 4th chair sucked and my best friend got 3rd. I can play just as good or even better. I still do not think that is right and neither did my band director, but he didn't do anything cause I told him a few days after, but I think something this year should be if it happens agin and might consider tossing my clarinet at her... just gotta make sure I bring my older wooden one.. hehe- I have 3 clarinet.

Do you need to know the fingerings? Any fingering chart will show these notes.

Or is it that you know the fingerings but still can't play the notes?

Anyway here are some basic fingerings. There are others that you should learn as these won't always be the best ones.

Play altissimo E as thumb, register key, 2nd and 3rd finger of left hand plus the Ab/Eb key with the right hand little finger.

For the altissimo F, simply add the C#/G# key on the upper joint using the left hand little finger to the fingering for the E.

For the altissimo G, thumb, register key, 2nd finger of right hand, 1st & 2nd finger of right hand plus the Ab/Eb key with the right hand little finger.

About the Es Fs and Gs...I'm sure the fingerings aren't too bad of a problem, if you just practice them, but to actually get the note out is a different deal. Much air, my friend! Also, tuck the corners of your mouth in more (as if all clarinetists don't hear that enough!) I played the first part my freshman year of high school and went through the same freaked out stage...but when you just practice it, it gets better! Good luck!!!
