Do any of you know of where I can find a book or books on repairing clarinets?
I'm hoping to retire someday and would like to do something as a hobby.
thanks.....

I am waiting for a "woodwind " repair book from Amazon-- Barnes Noble did not stock it. So far failed to find a "clarinet" repair book. Best.

Try doing at least part of a repairers course dealing with clarinets. It will teach you more than ou can learn from a book.

So where do you do this repairers course? None of the local community colleges seem to have them?

The folks at NAPBIRT (national assoc. of band instrument repair technicians) gives a list of 3 schools for band instrument repair.
