What would happen if there was a greenline mouthpiece?

I was just doing some daydreaming and thinking at work today and I just started to wonder what would happen...

I know some makers have made wooden mouthpieces. Greg Smith and Pomarico come to mind off the top of my head. And I know some people have thought that this would make for a more natural sound than hard rubber (but let's not get hung up on opinions of mouthpieces, sounds different materials make, etc. please...not for THIS discussion)

I was wondering, in theory, a greenline clarinet's composition should be a great warp-proof and keep stable dimensions. No swelling of the wood, no oiling, dehydrated wood, non of the cracking, etc. etc.

So could a mouthpiece made out of the greenline material be a GREAT idea? Buffet, are you listening and willing to try it? I'm thinking it'd have the stability and ability to resist warping and wear that rubber mouthpieces have, yet the material can STILL be modified and adjusted and faced. It'd be harder to, but it CAN be done. And once you find something you like, it should virtually never change. And hopefully will be a little less shatterproof than crystal.

Just what I was pondering lately.

I would think that the greenline material would be more difficult to machine/finish due to it's non-uniform composition. I'm sure rough work wouldn't be a problem but it might be very difficult to get a fine finish on the facing of a mouthpiece made of this material.

If they were willing to give me a piece of the Greenline material, I'd be happy to try making some mouthpieces out of it.

ESM has some mouthpieces made with a wood composite material like the green line.

I wouldn't hold out much hope on the tip rail staying put.

There would probably be health considerations.......

the thing is, buffet doesn't want to spend the money and the effort to make good mouthpieces.. so they will probably just stick to plastic.

Pigs would fly.

Dogs and cats would live together.

The world economic situation would improve dramatically.

Refacers would adapt.

If they made greenline mouthpieces, we would have dimensionally stable, low-quality mouthpieces with crappy facings and tenons which break at the slightest touch.
