Hi,
Last summer I attended the Adult Band Camp at Interlochen Center for the Arts in the US. I had a great time and played some very fine band music. I'll be back this August as well.
Now I find that I might be in Europe for part the mid-part of the 2012 summer months. Are there any similar adult band camps in Europe or possibly clarinet camps? It might work out to be an interesting experience.

Hi Hank!
Good luck in Europe this Summer! I'm sure you will have a great time! The Pierce College Wind Ensemble is now in Vincennes Paris or Luxembourg, playing concerts under the direction of Steve Piazza, a large and impressive band, with a lot of underemployed studio players.
But I was hoping that I would see you at the Clarinetfest in Northridge the first week in August so that I would have the opportunity of taking you to dinner or lunch.
This year, I expect that two of my three clarinet playing granddaughters will attend the Clarinetfest with me to be astounded by all the players and the equipment. The older one recently played in Carnegie Hall with the Kingsburg Wind Ensemble, one of five clarinet players, on a $32 Tribert clarinet that I rescued from the internet, with a Lurie mp.
Have a good time!
