Hi. I've been playing clarinet since 4th grade, and now i am a high school sophmore. The mouthpiece that I have been using was a Vandoren B45, but it's getting old and doesn't give that great tone it used to. I've been trying to search for a new mouthpiece. I am really interested in the Wurlitzer clarinet mouthpiece, yet i can't find it. If you know where I can find some, please email me at exxeldd@hotmail.com or reply to this message. I've also been wondering about the Vandoren optimun clarinet ligature. Is it worth the $50-80? thanks!

den,
For me, I wouldn't spend that much money on one of those Ligitures. Right now I have the Rovner Dark Ligiture and it works great! And i also got it for less than $20! For the mouthpiece I am thinking personally at the M13 Lyre or M13. They look pretty good for me considering my current setup.

Current Setup is
Bundy Resonite Clarinet
Goldentone #2 Mouthpiece(that is why i'm getting a new mouthpiece, had it for almost six years, it was passed down)
Rovner Dark Ligiture
3 1/2 Grand Concert Select Tradidtional Cut Reeds

Hey I was in your same situation, but like the other guy I said, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on the ligature. I actually splurge on a great new mouthpiece. I got a handmade Kasper Greg Smith, which is incredible. The sound is so incredible haaard to describe. Its perfect. But it was $200 and it was well worth the investment. I c ouldn't be happier!
