 Boston conservatory clarinet studio question...

Hello everyone!

I am looking into applying to graduate school this coming fall. I was wondering if anyone knows much about the clarinet studio at Boston conservatory? I know Jonathan cohler teaches there. I've seen him perform and he was great! But that's all I know about Boston conservatory's clarinet studio.. Unfortunately I don't think I'll have time to make a trip out there to get a trial lesson, so I need some help.

The other teacher on the roster is Michael Norsworthy (Who is principle of BMOP and an advocate for new music). It appears Ian Greitzer (Principle of Boston Pops Esplanade and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra) is no longer on the faculty.

Michael Norsworthy has posted on the BBoard before, but not that often. He also has a website, http://www.michaelnorsworthy.com/ and a Facebook page, so it should be quite easy to contact him through those two methods.

ETA: I attended TBC through 2003 as an undergrad...and I do know it is a somewhat different school than I attended at the time. There is now a FT orchestra conductor, new performance/rehearsal facilities and a true Woodwind Department Chair.

I will say, it is extremely expensive since it is a private institution...and you need to be sure you will be getting what you paid for. If you can't visit the school, be sure to ask about performance opportunities (how many performance groups, how are parts divided for the opera/ballet/musical theater shows) , what graduation scholarships are availability (A grad degree will cost between $50-65K) and also ask if any recent members of the studio at TBC have been accepted into certain festivals (Aspen, Tanglewood, New World Symphony.) or have won any auditions.
