I enjoyed your bass clarinet improv. It's not often that special effects--slap tongue, multiphonics, etc--are woven into the musical tapestry without ugly seams. Your riffs all flow together quite musically. Nicely done.

This was awesome, thanks for posting!
Did you have a particular inspiration for the performance, or was it just a "lets get together and see what happens" kind of thing?
Also, had you worked together before, or rehearsed a lot? You two had a nice rapport, while keeping the feeling of spontaneity, which can be a tough balance to find in my experience.

Tom, if you mean 'inspiration' as something outer-musical etc. then no. But I wouldn't say it was "just let's see what happens". I guess the 'inspiration' (if you want to call it that) was whatever we played/danced at the moment.
We knew each other a little bit from one class in uni some years ago. Before this concert, we had one concert together where I played with a few dancers. We had one rehearsal for this concert. What we played was completely improvised, but we decided the parts in advance (1-clarinet leads, 2-dancer leads, 3-dance solo, 4-clarinet solo, but not strict rules we have to follow, just a guide).
