Hello,
I was looking for a suggestion from the members at large.
My junior recital is coming up and I am looking for a 3rd, short piece, to fill in the rest with. We are lucky to have several good bass clarinetists around the University of South Florida and I wanted to transcribe something for bass clarinet quartet but wanted some good suggestions. It really can't be anymore more than 8-10 minutes though, or it will be too long. We do have 3 Low C bass clarinets between the 4 of us. Or if anyone here knows of a short sweet quartet that is already around I would consider it as well. I have the Jonathan Russel pieces already but really want to fill in the middle of the program from something Romantic as I have something Classical in the Kegelstatt and Modern in the Erdmann.
So far it looks like
Kegelstatt Trio
Bass Clarinet Quartet
Erdmann Bass Clarinet Concerto
Thanks,

Check with LathamMusic. She's a cellist, and started her business with cello quartets. It might give you an idea of some pieces. I'm not affiliated with the business, but I know her personally as a musician and person. She writes REALLY good arrangements, and you may be able to use one of hers if the whole group is comfortable reading bass clef without having to write anything out separately.

I can't dig the Kegelstat as either a bass clarinet presentation or as a 4tet.
