Hello everyone!
A friend and myself are looking for a concerto for 2 clarinets to work on, and are hoping you could let us know of any that you know of??
We know about the Krommer ones - we played Krommer's 2nd double clarinet concerto a few years back.
We would greatly appreciate any listings of pieces for 2 clarinets , such as concertos for 2 clarinets and orchestra/piano..
Thank you very much!! Take care.
Nic

There are quite a few, get hold of the Stamitz, Backhofen (clts in A), Devienne and Tausch concertos. There is also the Ponchelli Baermann and Muller pieces for two clarinets and piano

The Concertpieces were arranged by Mendelssohn for orchestra. They're always fun.
Il Convegno (Ponchielli) is another great piece. Is it arranged for orchestra anyone? I know there's a band arrangement.

thanks a lot people.
is there actually a duo for two clarinets by Crussel??
Ponchielli's Il Convegno is nice, and i'll get it, but is there a second piece by him; grand duet for 2 clarients or something??
thanks.

The Crusell duets are two solo clarinets and I'm not aware of another piece by Ponchielli. If you find it let me know.
