I have the 2001 Boosey and Hawkes edition of this piece and I was wondering if I got a bad copy or something because there are errors like crazy.
Examples from Movement 2:
1. 8 bars before H is marked mf in clarinet part in the score but nothing in the clarinet part
2. 2nd bar after V is crescendo in the score nothing in the clarinet part.
3. 3rd last bar is crescendo in both parts but molto in the score and last 1 and a half bars are FF and crescendo in the clarinet part but only crescendo in the score.
4. Bars 7-8 after G should be bar 7 slurred to g# eight note in bar 8 followed by eight note rest and new slur on doted quarter note e slurred over to eight note e in bar 9 but in the clarinet part the g# is a quarter note and both bars are slurred all the way to bar 9 and the clarinet line in the score has the slur finished on g# quarter note but not eight note followed by eight note rest.
5. 6 bars before C is Forte in the piano but no marking two bars before C in the clarinet part or the clarinet line in the score.
All in all I find about over 20 errors. Sometimes dynamic is lost in the clarinet part and sometimes both in the clarinet part and the clarinet line in the score. Sometimes crescendo starts half bar earlier in the score versus the clarinet part. I found one wrong note etc.
It's that bad that sometimes I have difficulties figuring out how the composer wants the music to be played.
I say what is going on I thought Boosey and Hawkes did better job than this.

So what did I thought wrong ? My teacher did point out some of those errors and I hear them when I listen to recordings of the sonata.

Yeah hehehehe
I mean I've never seen something like more than 5 errors in a single edition of a work. I do understand for example that different people edit the music with different phrasings and so on but then lets have the same phrasings in the clarinet part and in the clarinet line in the piano score to start with.
