" ta, thwak, thwak / ta, thwak thwak" etc (with the characteristic and stylish delay, of course)

I've never tried. I imagine it could be tricky because with the typical extremely closed facing on Viennese mouthpieces the reed is very thick at the tip.

...
Just tried on one of my historical mouthpieces (similar facing to Viennese) and it worked. It's somehow not as "supple" as a modern French mouthpiece though, so I wouldn't want to try playing Jarrell on it!

Hi Menedez,

I didn't try, but I think it could.
I heard a recording by Peter Schimdl playing the Berg 4 pieces with flutter tongue too, and also he did the glissando on his hammerschmidt clarinet at Bernstein Perlude Fugue and riffs, just as anybody doing the Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue glissando, so I think its possible to do anything as French system playing on a Vienesse setting.

Well, i can do glissando and flutter easily without problems.

When I played with french mouthpieces I never tried to do slap, but i know it is possible to do it, because I have seen many clarinetists doing it. But I have never seen a clarinet player who plays with viennese mouthpiece to do a slap, so I dont know if it is possible to do it.

Thank you for all.
