Hey everybody! I've read this board for a few years but this is my first post! I recently got my hands on an old e-flat clarinet for free from a family friend. He plays clarinet regularly but has never really used his e-flat and wanted to give it a home where it might be played. I am under the impression that he bought it when he was my age, so it is potentially pretty old, but I have no idea what brand or model it is! I was hoping someone here would be able to help me out.
The clarinet is interesting and I haven't seen an e-flat like it before. The mouthpiece seems to be made of grenadilla, but does not bear any kind of markings. The barrel is short and also has no markings. The upper and lower joints are actually in one piece. This long joint has no serial number (neither is there one on any part of the instrument) but it has two identical marks, one near the top and one near the bottom of the long joint, that look like...
E
L.P
The only other mark is only the bell which reads...
"France"
The clarinet is not playable in it's current state. It needs a whole new set of pads and a lot of adjusting, but I think I will make a project of fixing it up. But is anyone familiar with this clarinet? Thanks!

The "E" obviously means Eb
The "LP" stands for low pitch.

It is common for the upper and lower joints to be combined in E flat clarinets.
I am sure that if you could let us have som pictures of it, we would more easily be able to identify it.
