Hi. A good while ago (b/t 1999 and 2001), I bought a K&M stand like this K&M Stand (http://www.k-m.de/FOLDABLE-BASE.3+M59af952c10c.0.html). I've not been able to find the exact pegs that I have. Mine came with wooden pegs for Oboe and English horn (with an O-ring being the only difference between the two ), and I was trying to find similar pegs for Clarinet and/or Flute. Does anyone know if the new stand pegs fit the older model? I wouldn't want to buy the pegs if they didn't fit into the holes already there.
Just found a peg similar to my oboe pegs. The first one on the page http://www.forrestsmusic.com/instrument_stands.htm. Model T-01

Interesting... I have one that I've been using for 18 years. Odd that it's not listed on their website as I've seen it listed there before in the recent past.

I use Blayman clarinet pegs with a "Blayman" base, but have found that they also fit the drilled holes on my generic three-sax, clarinet & flute gig stand (bought at the Saxophone Shoppe, Evanston, Ill early 80's). I suspect that they would also work on a K & M stand. However, if the holes on the K & M are not the correct size, most any repair person can re-drill and thread new ones next to the old ones. Here is a link to the Blayman stuff which--IMHO--is the best their is:

You can always change the metal "bolt" piece to accomodate the female "nut" hole. Threaded "inserts" are available at hardware stores if the hole left in the Peg is too large....or "set" the smaller bolt in the Peg hole with wood filler or epoxy or whatever.

Better that some of these solutions, find out the bolt size and let me know. I have several pegs around with much smaller bolts and wing nuts that I got from a music store going out of business sale.
Just find a bolt that will fit the hole (size and thread are important) and either send it to me or a nut that fits and I can see what I have "in stock." The clarinet ones I have have a small flute type end as well.
