 Help identifying a clarinet

A friend of mine asked me to help her identify a clarinet and now I need your help! This picture shows the only logo I could find on the instrument. Does someone know which brand it is?

That's a Russian clarinet, not sure of the make but it could be from one of the Leningrad/St. Petersburg makers.

I've seen several of them (and oboes) listed on German eBay - bakelite bodies with chrome plated (and presumably mazak) keys.

Former oboe finisher
Howarth of London
1998 - 2010

The opinions I express are my own.

I have one of these at home, it is reasonably awful. But at least I paid next to nothing for it........

My Russian clarinet has a symbol on it, but no letters or words, so no, I don't know the make.

That mark, or rather the written part of it, is a price -- 143 rubles.

If the body really is Bakelite (the brand name, not just a generic term for "old plastic"), then be very, very careful with it. Bakelite will crack and shatter if you look at it hard. (This is information from my husband, who collects old fountain pens.)
