Well it looks like a show on Waco 100 (Waco TX radio station) is broadcasting live from Baghdad, Iraq. I believe it's a morning show (between 6 and 10) given about when we're supposed to perform.
They had a live performance of my unit's brass quintet today, and on Friday, it looks like the Dixieland group (which I am proud to say I'm a part of), will be performing. Probably one live piece, and then us playing a bit as they go to commercials.
Not sure what we're going to do. They are a country station and . . . well . . . our choices of pieces don't really fall into that. But we'll try to play some decent music and if anyone can catch the show, listen for us! I'll be playing clarinet.
So if you think you can stand for some dixieland played by a bunch of classically trained army musicians in Baghdad, tune in!!!
