Ive looked, and can not find a thing!
Il be in Vienna, Austria this next week, and im wondering as a clarinet player, what is there to do ?! anything i shouldn't miss? interesting things in the city? Thanks everyone

My last time in Vienna was before I took up the clarinet... I do remember absolutely loving the public transit and overdosing on Schnitzel. Prater is also fun to visit (amusement park, pay per ride), as is Schonbrunn (the palace), which you can get tours of and walk the grounds.

Vienna is a beautiful city...for sure check out the Ringstrasse, which has a Hollywood star of fame for composers along the street...very cool. See the Musikverein and the Opera...if possible, see an opera...great hall and you get the Vienna Philharmonic too. There's a beautiful, really old church at the end of the Ringstrasse (Stefansdom/St Stephen's Cathedral) that regularly plays music like Schubert masses for their services.
I can't remember much dealing with clarinet specifically...I looked for the Rudolf Jettel bobblehead and came up empty.

It's Haydn year in Vienna. Should be lots of concerts and exhibits.

Also, check out the cemetary! Beethoven, Mozart (his body isn't there, but there's a tombstone), Strauss, Schoenberg, and more are all in the same area. When I was there, right in the middle of musician row was Muhlfield. I wasn't 100% sure it was the Muhlfield that Brahms wrote for - does anyone know for sure?
