I have a Plastic Bb clarinet that was made by F.E. Olds & Sons and has Duro Tone stamped on the Bell. It is in a brown plastic case with a red interior. There's a piece of paper from a repair shop in the case with the serial # of 30629 ( I don't know if this is the correct serial # as I can't find it anywhere on the Clarinet!).
This Clarinet was bought around 1968 or 1969.
My question to you is just how good is this clarinet? Would it be comparable to a Yamaha YCL 250, etc?
And is it worth getting repadded?

Hard to say for certain without an examination and play test but I doubt it would equal the Yamaha you mention.

Bob:-,
Thanks for your reply.
I was thinking along those same lines...
That it won't be as good as a new yamaha student model.
Perhaps someone who's more familar with this year and model of clarinet will eventually respond.
