i called the riverside hilton to find out about rates and they informed me that the hotel is sold out from 8/15 to 8/19. I can't believe this, but that what they say.
So the question is where are we going to stay, or is the convention going to be held somewhere else?
i guess i should have booked a year ago.

Bob - the hotel is fine - most people don't book their rooms nearly a year in advance for a ClarinetFest! The blocks of rooms have already been allocated.
Most of the time people start making their reservations for ClarinetFest after the 1st of the year. There'll be a code number and all that. You're way too early - or at least that's what the people that are doing the arrangements tell me.

No problem. I called the Riverside this AM and they said Clarinetfest has a large block of rooms, and that i was the first to call. So sorry about going off half cocked.
