I want to find a home for my clarinet

I played clarinet a long time ago and who like to find a good home for it. I just took it out of the closet and it is a LeBlanc Paris 7979. Anybody have any ideas about this?

Any other markings on it - does it have anything above the Leblanc logo on the top joint eg. http://www.clarinetperfection.com/CLARINET/Image2.gif?

It has the LeBlanc inscription like the picture but above that it says classic instead of the other design.

I'm have the same problem...sort of.

I'm getting long in the tooth, and I have no family whatsoever.

I also have some valuable instruments, not the least of which are three (soon four) Rossi instruments and a set of '60s vintage R13s that have been completely refurbished, including plating the keys.

With the exception of the instruments that are definitely museum pieces, I've been trying to decide how to go about making the best use of them once I either can no longer play or, as they say, I "assume room temperature."

I'm not wild about giving them to a museum because, even if a museum wants them, they likely won't be played.

I'm not wild about donating them to a high school or college unless they're going to be valued enough that they'll be taken care of.

What I'd really like to do is to make some sort of arrangement to get them into the hands of young, dedicated players who would not normally be able to afford nice instruments. However, I can't figure out how to do this without a lot of complications and rigmarole. The nearest thing I can think of is to bequeath them to a respected player/teacher and have that person distribute them according to ability and need.

Suggestions?
