I bought an Alignon mouthpiece and played. Its looking really resembles Greg-Smith's mouthpiece.Since it is made in Germany I guessed it uses Zinner blanks.
Its inner surface is cured extremely smooth.Acoustically I do not sympathize with this idea.
The tone is very dark, sweet, and deep, but too registant with my Selmer 10SII*.I guessed Alignon uses 0.574" bore Buffet(provably RC Prestige),which makes this registance with my Chadash A barrel.
Does anyone experience this mouthpiece?
