Hello! I am a devoted clarinet student. I am trying to think of a name for email and instant message that would be "clarinet-like". Any cute ideas?
I know this is silly, but all your professionals probably know a lot more than me!!!!!!!!

I think that it would be nifty if somebody helped make clarinet websites correspondeing to the seven dwarves' names. Dopey, Happy, Bashful, Grumpy, Sleepy, Doc, and our favorite, Sneezy. I think I got all of the names right. Oh well, I'm sure I'll hear about it if I'm wrong. :-) -- Nate Zeien

My sister calls her instrument Claire Linette. just an idea.....
or you could go with something like reedy or any dumb name that somebody calls you in regard to your instrument.........

According to the Merriam-Webster Web site, in the 1930s, a clarinet was referred to in the slang of the day as a gob stick. Any wood instrumentalist was a lip-splitter. Clarinets have also been referred to as licorice sticks.
Clarinet in some different languages is:
French - clarinette
German - Klarinette
Hungarian - klarinet (with the e accented)
Italian - clarinetto
Portugese, Spanish - clarinete
For fun, I checked out the many anagrams for "clarinetist." A few that I like include:
