I recently acquired a boehm mouthpiece by Herbert Wurlizter, Buebenreith. It's also marked 18/4 (which appears to match the 18mm facing length and 1.04 tip opening). It appears to be very simliar to some of my other QS Chedeville/Lelandais mouthpieces. I wasn't aware that Wurlitzer made any boehm pieces. Does anyone have any history on this? Thanks.

Herbert W's workshop was located in Bubenreuth before shifting to Neustadt/Aisch in the '60s. He did make Boehm clarinets for a while (as distinct from Reform Boehm ). Maybe this mp went with his Boehms - the 18mm facing is more characteristic of a French mp.

Ken,
The mouthpiece "appears" to be much older than the '60s. It has one line up, two lines down, and the logo below the bottom lines. It is definitely for a French Boehm system clarinet. Maybe he had access to some older blanks.
