 Henri Gênet mouthpiece
Author: duxburyclarinetguy

I have an Henri Gênet mouthpiece with the "one up and three down" lines on it. I had it refaced by Everett Matson about 23 years ago and it plays pretty well. Could this be a Chedeville blank? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Duxb - I made a quickie search of our archives [a click above] for H G, not Genet[ics]!, finding only one ref., to an Eb Alto Cl by H G, Paris FR, of little help likely. You might try searching our Chedeville refs. for possible help re: ligature lines. I have several "3 lines below" mps of quite good playability and still wonder about their ancestry. Help, others? Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

What are the other markings on it?
Matson used to say that it doesn't matter who made the blank, as long as it plays well.
