Why do people prefer the black MP patches to the clear ones?

I am sure there are many opinions. I prefer the clear. I like the feel and find they last longer for me as well.

I like the feel of the black rubber more than the clear plastic ones, but the biggest factor is the adhesive that's used with the clear ones. That leaves a lot of glue behind when removing whereas the black ones don't at all. They come right off when removed.
Both stick well when on, but it's taking it off when it's time to change it that is different.
Sound wise there isn't a difference at all - however the longer patch can absorb some of the sound so cutting down a large patch (Runyon) can be a desirable thing to do.

I like the Yamaha soft orante ones (0.3 mm) and their feel, I think it gives you better grip of the mouthpiece. Someone to agree?
