So after 2 and a half weeks of waiting, I got my White Master reeds in. I was recommended that these reeds would be better to use the White Master reeds than the Eb reeds Vandoren makes.
I haven't been having too much luck with the regular Eb reeds, so I'm trying this as a last resort.
Are there detailed instructions on how to prepare the white master reeds for Eb use? I found a thread with pictures, but it doesn't give measurements on where to cut or make the shoulder, etc.

Naah. Just hack off enough of the heel so it fits flat on the mouthpiece, and you're good to go.
I've actually played with White Masters on eefer without hacking the end off by taking the top ring off of the barrel to make room for the reed (this was on a plastic eefer, so it's easy to take the rings off and put them back on again--don't recommend you do this with a wooden instrument).

Yeah, just take some scissors and cut it near the bottom of the reed near the letter N in "vandoren". In a pinch, I have even bitten off the bottom of the reed, however, this is not easy on the teeth....

Or if you wanna get a new barrel and don't want to cut off the bottom of the reeds at the same time, get a backun Eb clarinet barrel. They're fantastic and help the tone of the instrument, and you can use full size Bb reeds on it :-D

I pair of garden shears works really well at this task.
