Weber - Seven Variations Op. 33
Author: Dominic

Can anyone please recommend an edition for the Weber - Variations for cl and piano Op. 33?

There's quite a few editions around and not quite sure which one to get. I have played this piece while in college but have borrowed it from the college's library and can't remember which edition I've used.

Thanks in advance!

Eric Simon ed. in Schirmer (Masterworks for Clar. and Piano) is straightforward.
I think it is avail from VanCott
The Intl. ed (Drucker ed.) is more highly edited IMO

Hope this helps.

The Schrimer is a great, cost-effective resource. ALL of the pieces in it were written for piano and clarinet --no piano reductions, but a piano part that was conceived for the combination instruments --and in the Weber, Brahms and Schuman pieces for the composer himself to play with a good friend.

A wonderful thing for those with a good piano-playing friend.
