I am competing in our university Concerto Competition in about 2-3 weeks, and I have been asked by the director of bands, to give the arrangement of the Weber Concertino that I will play from (in the event I am selected as one of the winners).
I've found the Alfred Reed arrangement/transcription of the Weber Concertino for Clarinet and Band, is pretty standard for those who perform the work with the band as their accompaniment. Are there any others out there?
I'm not looking for the Orchestra version, as I will more than likely not be playing with the orchestra since I am not a performing member in that ensemble this semester.
I basically told my director, to purchase the Alfred Reed. arrangement (assuming we don't already have it in our own music department library).

By the way, I am performing the Concertino as my competition piece (International Edition with piano), so I am sure I will have to make an edit or two (mainly at the repeat sections that Alfred Reed kept in his arrangement).

The clarinet/band arrangement of the Concertino which most of us have used is the 1924 arrangement by M.L. Lake and published by Carl Fischer. The catalog number is U1565.
I do not know if it is still being published, but most large college and high school band libraries should have a copy in their files.
Many high schools, especially, purchased (when music budgets were plentiful) the major clarinet solo and band works (Weber - Concertino arr. Lake, Cavallini - Adagio and Tarantella arr. Waln, etc..) for use with their best players.
Often, these arrangement are now collecting dust in an old file cabinet and haven't been performed in years...GBK

Kendor (which publishes the Reed version) also, at one time, had a version for band edited by Don McCathern. It's not in their current catalog, however. I think it's also in many old filing cabinets. My recollection is that the accompaniment was done pretty well.
Best regards,
