 LeBlanc serial numbers
Author: jwiseman114

I'm sorry if I'm bringing up a tired issue but I am new to this board.

I have two questions:

1) Has anyone ever come up with a Leblanc serial number chart.

2) Has anyone ever suggested a survey of Leblanc owners on this board to at least come up with a partial chart?

Thank you

Here's another place:

http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/Equipment/HowOld/Leblanc.html

The lists may be identical, I didn't check.

saxmaniax.com and clarinetperfection.com are the SAME site

depends which way you enter .. the Saxophone side or the Clarinet side

the SN lists were mostly gotten from a nice lady at Leblanc USA before Selmer USA bought them out. These were lists that didn't exist and if you called the regular support ppl they only looked up lists on the computer, of which most of those #s weren't on the computer.

some such as B&H had several .. and the best list was choosen
some were provided by dedicated people to certain brands
and i'm sure some are from general manufacturer lists and general internet perusing

Just to muddy the waters a little, lately I have encountered three Symphonie 3 Bbs with B suffix serial numbers. The first of these is a 19/7 in the 600B range, which I bought. The other two have appeared recently on that auction site, both were standard 17/6 with numbers around 1600B.

Thank you.

I had never been able find these before. Is this a fairly recent list?

The site also clears up the Alexandre clarinet for me. I've run into these a couple of times and never knew just what they were though I suspected they had something to do with the Selmer family.
