Hey all,
I was wondering if anybody has any truly 'humorous' ideas for interpretation of the "humor, relaxed" section after 295.

Depends on how far you want to go.
Some bad ideas include:
- Scooping up to a bunch of the notes
- Getting progressively slower
- Flutter-tonguing on the last note of each phrase
- Alternating ridiculously fast and ridiculously slow for each phrase
- Making use of carefully-timed flatulence
- Playing it with the rhythm of the Green Acres theme song
- Playing it with a ridiculous over-the-top grin on your face

awesome, EEBaum. :-)
just start with what's marked on the page and have a good time.
cheers!
another bad idea is to play it in the highest register of the clarinet to contrast with the string bass part.

Put your bottom teeth on the reed and continue to play as per normal :p

Invert the mouthpiece in your mouth 180 degrees, then continue playing.

Take off your mouthpiece. Or walk off the stage. You decide.
Charles Niedich blew me away last weekend playing this in Birmingham! He could do anything and it would sound amazing!

If flatulence is not available at the times needed, would playing tuba pedal notes do?

EuGeneSee,
Maybe you need more beans and raw veggies in your diet. Flatulence should ALWAYS be available! :-) Or, I suppose the old-fashioned Whoopee Cushion will do.
