John Williams has done it again...does anyone know how I could get my hands on that fantastic clarinet piece in the film The Terminal! It is great! The film is quite sweet too so if you haven't seen it, do - even if it's just for the music!

The clarinet part and piano reduction are available in a nice glossy cover with a touching memo from Williams about the clarinetist, Emily Bernstein, who died of cancer at a young age shortly after recording the soundtrack.
I got my copy at a local music store, but I am sure it is available online. Perhaps Gary Van Cott** or Sheetmusic* plus can help here.
The music is a nice Russian-like motif, Klezmeresque in style, with lots of room to schtick it up, and a fun cadenza well into the altissimo.
Edit....I found 2 sources. Here, and I do not have any commercial connections with either source, but both have given me excellent service in the past.

**http://www.vcisinc.com/clarinetmusicpiano.htm scroll down the page to Williams and there it is, with a "new" item tag on it.

Just be prepared..."Viktor's Tale" can be challenging, you'll need alternate fingerings and a good understanding of rhythms. It's not for beginners. But it's so neat to play if you give in and allow yourself to enjoy it!

Make sure to give it that Eastern European/ Russian lilt....think Prokovieff's Hebrew themes (or Tevya singing 'if I were a rich man') while playing it, and you are on the right track.
Superficially it looks more difficult than what it really is. The notes fall into place after a while, and the cadenza is logical.
It also sounds good at a slower speed as well as fast, so you can have fun practising it slowly, and then build up.
