Tempi for Rode etudes

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on the Rode etudes. In this transcription, by Bettony, there are many etudes which have extremely fast tempo markings. Playing them at that tempo isn't impossible per se, but it would really push these etudes into the stratosphere with JeanJean 16 as far as difficulty is concerned. I would like to ask for suggestions for tempi of the following etudes.

2. Marked as dotted quarter at 100. 6/8, tongued, with octaves all over clarinet
5. Marked at dotted quarter at 84. Sixteeths at 3/8, 4 tongued notes per measures
6. Marked at dotted quarter at 84. Octave study, sixteenth notes, slurred in twos for the majority.
7. Dotted quarter at 104, 3/8
9. Quarter at 104 with tongued sextuplets?
11. Same as 9
12. Moderato? Dotted quarter at 100 seems like prestissimo
13. Following intro, dotted quarter at 104
19. Dotted quarter at 96.

Assuming you won't be performing them, does it matter what we say the tempo is?

The reason I make that comment is, if I suggest playing number 2 at dotted quarter = 90 but you can only play it at 80 then what? If you cannot play them at the tempo marked in the music, use the tried and true method of working up to the marked tempo. Just do it as fast as you can but maintaing musicality, tone, etc. If you don't hit the marked tempo then that's alright, you'll get there if you continue to work at the pieces.
