question for GBK re Drucker

Has Drucker ever performed the Francaix con. with the NYP? Or with a New York chamber orch maybe. I am a little suprised he has never recorded it. Granted its not the greatest piece of music but it certainly shows off the clarinet.

I'm not GBK, but I think I hear about it whenever Drucker solos with the Philharmonic. As far as I know he hasn't performed the Francaix. He usually does the Copland or the Spohr #3, and of course he's recorded the Nielsen, the Corigliano and the Debussy.

Jacques Lancelot premiered the Francaix and had the exclusive right to public performance for several years, at least with orchestra.

You might have answered your own question.

As far as I know, Drucker has never performed it or recorded it. As Ken said, his solo appearances with the NYP are either Copland, Spohr, Weber Concertino, etc... GBK
