Has anyone anylized scientifically the composition material of the great mouthpieces? It seems to me that Kaspers or Chedevilles should have been analyzed by now to find out if there is anything "special" in terms of their composition that makes them historically so special. I am willing to contribute 3 of my Kaspers from my private collection for this purpose, if anyone has access to a lab capable of making such an assessment. I can't imagine that someone out there hasn't done it by now...but it would be interesting to find out what indeed has made these mouthpieces the talk of the industry for years.

I agree that you should look up Brad's website. Also, there's a thread in the Keepers section titled Vintage or Vintage Clone that might have the answers to your questions.

Guy Chadash has also analyzed and replicated a vintage rubber formula in his blank. This is the one that Chris Hill uses.
