where i can check my serial number on buffet clarinet. my brother bought on ebay buffet clarinet wood and the web site where i checked the serial number was updated www.buffet-crampon.com

I just checked the BC site - what a useless serial number search they have! I have not seen any more up to date than our own list linked above . . . and it is almost ten years out of date.

Kevin,
Since 439774 is the end of 1997 and Buffet appears to have been making around 15-16,000 a year, yours likely dates from 1998. The F prefix indicates it was targeted for the European market with a pitch of A= 442-444.
