could anyone suggest some worthwhile music, either duo with piano or solo, that has been written in the last 25 years.

Violent Shallow Eyes by Stephen Mark Barchan.
Contact him through www.stephenmarkbarchan.com the clip on his website is of me playing the said piece.
It's been shortlisted as a featured piece by the Society for the Promotion of New Music, and he's always keen for new people to play his works.
It's extremely challenging, with lots of extended techniques, but I love performing it, it's almost theatrical.
I can also recommend the Paul Patterson 'Conversations', The Joseph Horovitz Sonatina and Paolo Boggio's 'Oskar's Dream', especially if you have a basset horn, basset clarinet or bass.

Piri by Isang Yun
He wrote many great chamber pieces.
He is one of the greatest modern composers who is under appreciated in US.

Four Pieces in Bird Shape by Takashi Yoshimatsu for clarinet and piano is a very interesting and effective piece. I believe it was written in 1983.

There are a few clarinet pieces written by Chen Yi. She is a professor at my college and is a great composer. You can find this piece at Luyben's.

Gregory Wanamaker has written several excellent pieces for clarinet. Check out "Clarikinetics" for Solo Clarinet, "Sonata" for Clarinet and Piano, and "Nocturne" for Clarinet and Piano, among others.

Definitely check out the music of Rick Sowash. It's contemporary, but not (apologies for those who play ultra modern music) difficult to listen to.

A little more than a year ago, he was offering free music for clarinet players. And that was my (and probably many other's here) introduction to his work. Lots of very good music for clarinet.

I agree with Andy. Rick Sowash's music is beautiful. Sowash's 'View from Carew' has some gorgeous cello lines in it as well. Definitely worth checking out.
