I have a Selmer 67-mm barrel with a (very faded) star just beneath the estuchion. Any Series 9 star players out there who know what these barrels look like? On mine, there is no "9."

I've seen many Selmer 9* clarinets that had a star on the barrel and there was no 9.
Series 9 (big bore) clarinets had a 9 on the barrel but some of them had no markings at all just the usual Selmer logo.

I have a 68mm Series 9* barrel from the '60s and this only has the * below the logo - from what I can see the bore of the barrel is the same as the standard Series 9, though I haven't got anything to measure the barrel bore diameter with - only when it's on my clarinets there's no step between the barrel and the top joint at all.
My A series Series 9 Bb came with a 67mm barrel with '9' below the logo - probably as they were making the Series 10 clarinets at the same time as this.

I bought mine hoping to use it with my wide-bore Selmers (L, N, CT). Yes, yes, I use a narrow-throat barrel with my old Buffets, and I make do and am humble and thankful. But I wish I could have obtained at least a regular 9 or (as the auction stated) a CT barrel.
It's soaking in oil in my kitchen now and it looks happy (with two massive longitudinal cracks). I'll find a use for it.
Hmmmmmm ... maybe I should get a Series 9 star clarinet? I'm sure I could make room here ... somewhere.
