Yes...but: How did they manage the articulation? At times it sounded as if they simply were activating a valve that briefly cut off the air stream. It did not sound as if they had something touching the reed.
any ideas?

OMG thats amazing! I know now why my sax playing sucks, i need that constant air stream like the computer. I doubt itd have another moving part that stops the reed, when it articulated (rarely) the hisssing of the air stopped. As cool as that is, John Coltrane is more interesting to watch. Better musician as well ...

I emailed the poster asking about the mechanization of the air flow and "fingering." He replied that he "was not a sax player." Maybe he posted the vid, but did not participate in the development of the machine.
