use it for practicing how your tuning should not sound when playing 440. You could also use it to infuriate someone who has perfect pitch inn 440.

More seriously than my post above, here is a quote from the maker of my clarinet, Peter Eaton: "The suggestion from some makers that mouthpieces or clarinets have a fixed absolute pitch is unrealistic. A clarinet/mouthpiece/reed combination does not have a precise pitch until a player combines with them, and the pitch resulting from a particular set-up can vary by a surprisingly large degree, depending on who is playing it. Read Jack Brymer's wise words on the subject in his book "Clarinet" (Yehudi Menuhin Music Guides) pages 131-2. The two players he mentions are himself and Roy Jowitt who were the two London Symphony principals at the time of writing."
I completely agree with him and read "Jack Brymer's wise words" in that book, and his explanation and example is really clear and intertesting, plus he is so modest by not mentioning in the book that he is one of the players in the example!

Keep it just in case you need to play at a higher pitch. I just got back from a festival in Austria where we had to play with a piano tuned to 442. Lucky we weren't in Vienna....
