really wierd and kind of gross

ok this is kind of gross. sometime when i'm playing my clarinet i burp while playing-i know it's gross- but it makes the note sound really strange. i think the note goes lower. so why does the note change? sorry if this is a stupid question but i am really curious.

Of course....

Vp=Vo(1-0.10p/2-0.42p/2) = Vo(1-0.26p)

........now why didn't I think of that?
