I play the B46 with vandoren #3 (traditional) reeds. It works well for my and my Selmer Signature Bb clarinet (my A is a very old Selmer from the late 1920s/early 1930s, and the mouthpiece/reed set up works well, though differently, for that too).

I'm not sure how I came to play the B46 - it was years ago. But I'm very happy with the tone and flexibility of this set up. Also able to hit altissimo notes securely. The Selmer 85/105 mouthpiece that comes with the Signature is less satisfactory to me, although I haven't spent a lot of time with it. I would be curious to try other mouthpieces (B45, for example) but haven't had the time.
