Well, I got my CX_BS in the mail the other day and all I can say is WOW!!! My low notes sound so much bigger and darker, I can finally articulate in the upper clarion and altissimo, I'm more in tune. The only thing that it didn't fix was a slight stuffinies in the throat tones. It is improved though. I would recomend this to any Bass Clarinet player looking for a drastic improvement of sound and playing ease.

Did you buy one outright or send in an existing C* to be refinished? If not, what mouthpiece are you coming from for comparison? What kind of Bass do you have?
Did you compare it against any other mouthpieces?
As for the stuffiness in the throat tones, that's often indiciative of a reed with an uneven tip - finding a Vandoren Bass clarinet reed with an even tip has been next to impossible lately in my experience.
TIA,
Stephen

That is why I use Legere #3.0-3.5 on my CXBS from Walter.
