Hi, wondering if anyone would know what kind of clarinet I have. It is probably at least 60 years old, it is made out of wood, it is about the same lenght as a standard B flat clarinet, but has an upturned metal bell, like a bass or alto clarinet. It has very few markings, but was made in France and has C and L P stamped on it. I assume this stands for C low pitch. I believe that the fingering is the Boehm system

There is an old photograph c. 1949 of a New Orleans clarinetist called "Big Eye Louis Nelson" (Louis Nelson DeLisle) playing one of those things.
