On the old metal Conn clarinet I purcahased, there is a serial number, but no name for the model. Is ther a way to be sure about which model is it? The serial number is B215378L. On the horn there is the brand name, which is Conn. The body is in two parts (which have been soldered) The barrel is tunable, the horn is screwed on the body, and is golden color inside. Sound is very powerfull.

This is definitely NOT a student level clarinet. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be top of the line model. "B" stands for a Bb clarinet and the "L" for low pitch (440-444HZ). Clarinet was made around 1928.

Thanks for the answer. Seems good news. As it is,the clarinet is playable, but what would be reasonable for a full restoration, and where to look?
