Hi. I live in Everett, WA which is 25 miles north of Seattle. I am wondering if anyone out there has a favorite place in this area to take a clarinet for repair or just for a good "looking over". Seattle area is just fine or anywhere in the Puget Sound region. Thanks!

How about Oberloh Woodwind and Brasswind at S.180th and 1st
Ave. S. in Burien where Dan Oberloh and Steverino (the
Sultan of Swedge) ply their craft. It's worth the trip just
for the display cases of antique and obscure instruments.
If that's too far, how about Northwest Winds at N.E. 123rd
and Lake City Way N.E. where Brad Waring has his shop. He did a great job overhauling my bass clarinet when he worked
for Oberloh. Good luck.

You could always take a day or two off, head north on the ferry, and visit Penticton & Peter Spriggs, a fine craftsman and sponsor of the site ...

You are welcome to come to Penticton as many players from the Seattle area do,including those in the fine Orchestra there, but it does not require a ferry ride.
Peter.
