Please help me identify this clarinet.......

I found this in my attic, while doing a pre-move clean. Can some one please help me to identify it? It only has "36" stamped on the bottom of it. Any help would be wonderful!

Link to a website I created with pictures of it.....

Please email me at clarinetboy@comcast.net

Thank You in advance.

Nice photos...but closeups of whatever embossing including serial number areas probably neccesary for any reliable opinions. If "36" is in fact the only embossing the outlook is rather grim.......

I think plastic. There is a price tag on the end of the case that says 275. used. You think it is worth that?

Hi C B, [not dumb !, just not informed!!], I looked at it, IMHO, a "standard" 17/6 of ?Buffet? key design, nothing special, if plastic [shiny, wood is dull black] , more likely a "[non]-stencilled" cl from a "minor" Fr or US maker. Is the 36 in the usual ser. # location? Would estimate value as low. Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

I would advise you to take it to a local music store and have them answer both your questions--what brand it is and how much it's worth. I would agree with Don that it probably has a pretty low value. Years ago someone may have purchased it for $275.00, but do you have any idea how many years ago that might have been?

That's a mainland Chinese case, if that is any indication of contents.

For a more detailed appraisal, send me your return address printed on a $20 bill...

i just bought a plastic vito off of ebay - $23.
if i could turn that around for 275 i'd be real happy :)
so yeah, value is low, particularily if you can't identify the brand.
