 Oleg ligatures

I have a new Oleg ligature and it comes in a great little red box but it does not come with any information on how to achieve different tones. I have been told that you can achieve what the Vandoren Optimum ligature does except you do not have to change plates. ( I would have prefered some info instead of a red box). Has anyone used one of these and can anyone tell me their experience with the Oleg ligature? So far it seems to be nice looking but provides only a fair experience with the sound. Can't say it is in any way better than an Optimum ligature.
