Boosey & Hawkes 2-20 in key of "A"
Author: Mark Irgram

Hi,
Does anybody know if Boosey & Hawkes made a model 2-20 or equivalent in the key of "A". I would like to get one to go with my B flat.
Thanks,
Mark

I'm a 2-20 fan (have a few, all in Bb, along with an 8-10), but I've yet to see one in "A", although I've seen some other models (acoustically identical I believe, differing sometimes in trim and bell ring details, but none having the "Reginald Kell" lower r.h. trill key and "fingernail" l.h. pinky F/C spatula like the 2-20) which have "A" versions; namely the Edgware and 926/Imperial models (and of course the 1010, which has a slightly larger bore). The few B&H "A" clarinets I've seen on Internet auction sites have come out of England or Australia/New Zealand.
