Hammerschmidt boehm

anyone own or tried one of these Otmar Hammerschmidt Boehm clarinets?

They seem to have quite a few interesting innovations (magnetic connections, ball bearings, etc.)

Magnets! Now, that is just fascinating. I already knew of Karl Hammerschmidt as the maker of the "klingson" (multikeyed) recorder... seems these guys are all about innovation. Please, if anybody gets a chance to play one, report back!

Well,

I know to Hammerschmidt companies in German (Frank and Karl, as far as I know they're relatives),
but Otmar Hammerschmidt is from austria (not one more brother). I allready heard from this company because they make basset horns, too. And someone told be, their basset horns are the 'standard' of the vienna philharmonics.
