I'm fifteen years old and I've played the clarinet for four years. I've had the same beginning instrument the whole time, and I'm starting to get more serious about the clarinet so I'm looking for a new instrument. I have done a little research, and I am confused about what price a quality instrument should be and what a good one for my level would be. Any advice or tips would be very very helpful. Thank you!

Actually, the Vito Millenium was a pretty good instrument. Made in 2000, thus the "millenium" part of the name, it has a .575 bore just like Leblanc's professional instruments. However, I do understand your wanting to step up to a better instrument. Don't get in a hurry. Ask questions of more seasoned players and decide what type of playing you want to do--band, orchestra, jazz, pop, etc. If you're interested in orchestra, I highly recommend setting aside some money a little at a time and getting a Buffet R-13. That is what is most compatible with other orchestra players that I play with.
